Course aim

To prepare preservice teachers to teach in Digital Technologies across the senior years (yr 11-12) of schooling.

Course content

Preservice teachers will learn about inclusive approaches to teaching within senior school Digital Technologies contexts at SACE level. They will practice design-based and problem-solving methodologies and apply these to develop Digital Technologies units of work for Year 11-12 students. The course will cover methods of designing coherent learning experiences for students, including ways to plan, assess and evaluate teaching and learning strategies for senior students with reference to SACE learning and assessment criteria. Preservice teachers will be guided to critically analyse their personal potential and limitations and to develop the skills to enable them to work collaboratively as beginning Digital Technologies teaching professionals.
