Course aim

To provide students with an understanding of development assessment.

Course content

Students will develop skills in development assessment in the context of the South Australian planning system including the ability to find relevant technical and legal information, undertake community consultation in the context of development assessment, interpret legislation and planning regulation, and understand how these are applied in development assessment situations. Students will gain knowledge of similarities between the local planning system and with others both nationally and internationally.
