Course aim

Develop knowledge of the neuroanatomical subsystems of speech production and the disorders that affect it and apply evidenced based principles to speech pathology assessment and management of motor speech disorders

Course content

Apply foundation knowledge of the neuroanatomy and neurophysiology to acquired motor speech disorders and the practice of Speech Pathology. Critical evaluation of the evidence base for assessment and intervention for motor speech disorders. Case based learning approach for application to clinical setting.
