Course aim

To introduce students to the theoretical underpinnings of place and space, including Aboriginal knowledges and practices, within the practice of creative place-making and place-based storytelling.

Course content

In this course, students will employ the disciplinary knowledge/skills accrued in the course of their study towards a ‘place-making’ proposal and/or the production of a place-based story. Interdisciplinary teams of creative industries students will engage with key stakeholders (local councils, community groups, corporate entities, for example) in the development of proposed re-imagining/re-activation/story telling in key locations.
