To prepare students as pre-service teachers to construct appropriate learning experiences for students in Primary years of schooling HPE.
Through on-line, place-based and face-to-face workshop experiences, Pre Service Teachers (PSTs) will engage with advanced pedagogies in HPE to promote engagement, learning and catering for the needs of diverse primary school student cohorts. Specifically, PSTs will engage in negotiated learning experiences to explore culturally responsive pedagogies, inquiry-based approaches, creative body-based and placed-based pedagogies and integration. These negotiated learning experiences will support PSTs in developing inclusive teaching, learning and assessment strategies in primary school HPE.
