UniSA Education Futures
To engage students with theoretical and pedagogical perspectives about language, literature and literacy and teaching and learning strategies for developing an early literacy and English program in Early Childhood.
Students will extend their knowledge of theories and research that inform their implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework English curriculum in early childhood, emphasizing language development and early literacy, perspectives on difference, curriculum integration and play, and contemporary issues literacy in early childhood education. Students will apply their knowledge by analysing approaches to teaching and learning language and literacy in ways that demonstrate their ability to make judgments about the design and implementation in a range of early childhood settings.
