To support teacher candidates in developing capacities to work as a member of the teaching team in a preschool setting in planning and engaging with children in co-constructing play-based curriculum, pedagogy and documenting learning.
Students will explore the role of the teacher in a preschool context. Students will focus on content exploring, global and local context for preschool education, constructivist based pedagogy for engaging children in learning through play (emergent curriculum, inquiry- based, Reggio inspired), the role(s) of the environment, teacher/educator and documentation in a preschool setting.
