Course aim

The course outlines the principles and policies governing intellectual property rights and how they may be commercialized and advances student skills in the legal aspects of business innovation and the management of rights in the information economy.

Course content

[3] Fundamentals of Intellectual Property: Ownership of rights and forms of exploitation

[5] Commercialisation and Technology transfer IP
[6] Legal Structures for Commercialisation
[7] Anti - Competition Issues
[8] Finance Issues: Valuation of IP and royalties
[9] Taxation Issues
[10] International Dealings.
