Course aim

Operate a multi engine aircraft under instrument flight rules (IFR) to regional airports in Australia while managing simulated in-flight emergencies. Be recommended for CASA instrument rating flight test.

Course content

Cross country flying conducted under instrument flight rules utilising navigation aids: VOR, RNAV, and ILS.

Students must hold a minimum of a Class II Medical with at least 6 months validity. Students must remain compliant with the Aviation Academy's Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP). Students must have passed the CASA IREX Theory Exam.

Practical (Students are assigned an instructor for the duration of the course who will work with each student individually to plan and book flight lessons.)	16 weeks x 2 flights per week
Tutorial (Each new flight topic is preceded by a pre-flight briefing delivered to all course participants.)	16 weeks x Once per week
