Course aim

Complete the instrument flight rules, navigation with 3D approaches and simulator lessons and be recommended for progress into Instrument Rating 3.

Course content

Simulated emergencies; instrument flight rule navigation and procedures conducted in the simulator including holding patterns, precision and non precision approaches.

Students must hold a minimum of a Class II Medical with at least 6 months validity. Students must remain compliant with the Aviation Academy's Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP).

Practical flight assessment conducted in a single engine aircraft. Navigation with 3D approaches.
