To provide an overview of the law which regulates sporting activities in Australia.
Sport and the law (the legal framework), the legal status of sporting organisations including the duties of directors and officers; Sports Tribunals, natural justice and the Court of Arbitration for Sport; the legal liability of participants in tort (negligence) and in criminal law; health and safety issues including risk management; employment contracts including restraints of trade; sports marketing and the protection of ideas; doping and drugs in sport; anti-discrimination.
