Course aim

To develop health professionals’ understanding and application of the theory and practice of effective educational assessment.

Course content

Principles and theories of educational assessment and their application to health profesional education; feedback, educational assessment in context, assessment for learning, assessment of learning, assessment tools, clinical assessment, moderation practices, purposes of assessment and importance of objectives, self and peer assessment, principles of alignment.
