The aim of this course is to provide students with the skills and experiences necessary to conduct a health science research project.
Students will undertake and complete a health science research project supervised by a qualified staff member/supervisor. Specific training and education within appropriate approaches relevant to the particular research question developed by the students will be developed through consultation, discussion, problem-solving and liaison with more experienced researchers. Students will maintain progress of work in accordance with the stages and timelines agreed upon with supervisor/s and produce a thesis. Application of research principles and methodology, data collection, data analysis, research rigour and ethics, research report writing and dissemination strategies.
