Course aim

This course will enable and assist  students to develop their own professional identity in a marketing related field, provide them with an understanding of the role of marketing in business and society; and help them to make choices that will enhance their university experience and their early career.

Course content

This course introduces students to the role of marketing in business and society and provides them with the knowledge and skills to manager their own professional development in the field.  Topics include:  professional and effective communication; negotiation and interpersonal relationships with a variety of stakeholders; presentation design and delivery; written communications including copywriting; self-assessment and reflection on professional skills and attributes; choice of marketing electives and formulating a career development plan and curriculum vitae.
