Course aim

To develop students' critical understanding of the goals, purposes and methods of teaching Science in the middle and senior years of schooling.

 

Course content

Students will develop a critical understanding of the purpose of teaching science and the impact of learning theories on the teaching of science. The students will develop teaching methodologies and assessment appropriate for junior secondary science, using the laboratory in science teaching and curriculum documents from the Australian Curriculum framework.
