To develop critical analysis and evaluation about key aspects of the teaching and learning processes within the humanities and social sciences and to situate this within the wider literature and debate.
Students will develop knowledge and understanding of issues-based learning and the research process, planning for learning in the humanities and social sciences using the inquiry process model and constructivist perspectives. Students will develop unit plans and lesson plans to increase their literacy in the humanities and social sciences. Students will identify, evaluate and analyse contemporary curriculum issues pertaining to history, geography, civics and citizenship.
