To enable students to understand and critically evaluate the principles of quality teaching in Health and Physical
Education (HPE).
Students will explore the broad scope of learning associated with the HPE learning area and analyse the complexity of teching for effective learning in HPE. The students will develop strategies for managing a safe learning environment, interacting positively with learners and building a resilient professional presents. Students will also develop the ability to plan and prepare for student-learning in HPE and apply key principles for inclusion, engagement, alignment through success orientated challenges and maximise opportunity for learning in simplified settings. Students will facilitate learning through clear presentation of the task, progression, positioning to read the class, provision of acknowledgement together with beginning specific feedback. The students will operate within a professional community and engage in reflective evaluation drawing on practice based evidence to progress student-learning and improve personal teaching capabilities.
