Design and Technology for Secondary Teaching 3

Course aim

To consolidate pre-service teachers’ understandings of, and their capabilities in applying the spectrum of pedagogical and contextual considerations needed for effective teaching of Design and Technology in Secondary school settings.

Course content

Students as pre-service teachers will consolidate their knowledge and understanding of Design and Technology education through the practical application of learning and teaching theories across a range of technological teaching settings. Through practical demonstration, students, as pre-service teachers will further develop their communication, organisational, assessment and resource management skills. An exploration of the Australian Curriculum (ACARA) will also occur throughout the course.
