To prepare students as pre-service educators to plan, resource, teach and evaluate well sequenced mathematics learning experiences and topics as part of a longer term program.
Students will extend their knowledge on Mathematics Education with practices that support learning mathematics based on play and social constructivist perspectives, concept and language development with a particular focus from number, algebra, geometry and data handling, thinking mathematically; the Early Years Learning Framework and the Australian Curriculum and plan for learning and assessment in the context of Professional Experience 3.
