Course aim

To develop students’ understanding of the neural underpinnings of cognition and behaviour and to provide practical laboratory based experience of the application of this knowledge.

Course content

The human nervous system; neural physiology; imaging techniques; the visual system; sensory processing and perception; the motor system; attention and executive function; memory; language; emotion and social cognition; sleep and states of consciousness; child brain and cognitive development; aging.
