To develop in-depth understanding of advanced structural principles of stability, strength and serviceability in structural design. To develop students’ analysis and design skills in cold-formed steel structures in accordance with AS/NZS 4600
Plate theory: local buckling, post-buckling, effective width; Behaviour of thin-walled open sections: bending, shear, torsion, lateral, torsional, flexural and torsional buckling; Design of cold-formed steel structural element of bars, beams, columns and frames in accordance with AS/NZS 4600.
