Advanced Practice in Social Work

Course aim

To enable students to demonstrate advanced social work skills to manage complexity and conflict.

Course content

Advanced intervention, communication and conflict management skills; demonstrate skills application of diverse practice perspectives; professional identity; reflexive practice and ethics; family violence; child protection and wellbeing; Indigenous and cultural diversity contexts; working with complexity and different practice settings; manage conflicting interests, professional judgment and decision making, evidence based practice.
