To extend students’ understanding of professional practice through involvement in a range of activities within a structured placement.
Students will observe and analyse work practices and methodologies in practice in a workplace context (locally, nationally, internationally). Students will observe and analyse workplace organisation and procedures, project management and record keeping. Students will gain skills in professional communication processes and techniques, client liaison and interfacing with allied professions, industry and organisations. Students will also experience more general professional development including time management; report writing; independent and collaborative processes; project management; dealing with colleagues, the public and other stakeholders.
