Course aim

To enable students to appraise primary and secondary spatial data types and collection methods to subsequently apply appropriate analysis and presentation techniques to natural and built environmental projects.

Course content

This course incorporates techniques of acquiring and building spatial data in the field and office environments, and then the analysis and presentation of various spatial data (e.g. raster and network) in GIS software packages.
