Course aim

To provide students with an understanding of the areas of law which have an impact on the marketing function.

Course content

The law concerning: sale of goods (Sale of Goods Act); consumer protection and competition (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)); liability for personal and property damage due to defective goods (common law of negligence and Trade Practices Act Part VA); tortious and other liability for economic loss; insurance; intellectual property; debt collection and bankruptcy.
