Course aim

To develop an understanding of the principles of good governance and ethical practice within sport and recreation organisations. It examines the environment and structure of sport in Australia and public policy approaches.

Course content

Principles of transparency and accountability in sporting organisations; ethics in sport; the sport environment; nature and role of governance in sport; best practice in sport organisations; governance structures in Australian sport; sport policy development.
