To analyse the Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia requirements for the design and construction of Class 1 and 10 buildings.To demonstrate an understanding of building surveying scientific principles used in the design and operation of Class 1 and 10 developments.
The Building Code of Australia Volume 2 and associated Australian Standards. Design and assessment of residential buildings. Requirements for residential slabs and footings, and timber-framed construction. Fire safety, energy efficiency, health and amenity requirements for residential buildings. Bushfire mitigation measures for design and construction of residential buildings. Deemed-to-comply assessment of design and engineering solutions of buildings and structures.
