Course aim

To develop problem solving skills and basic programming techniques.

Course content

Problem Solving: Approaches to problem solving; a problem solving process; tools such as mind mapping, brainstorming,  abstraction, decomposition.
Introduction to programming – language concepts, keywords, types, constants, variables, expressions, Boolean expressions, precedence and associativity, sequence, choice, loops, functions, parameters, strings, lists.
