The aim of this course is to develop student's ability to network effectively with people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds in their personal and professional lives. It also aims to equip students to strategically manage their career beyond the borders of a single organisation.
In the core topic of networking, students will explore group dynamics, communicating professionally, building and maintaining networks, and how to make networks work to their full advantage.
Career management will enable students to investigate making career choices and decisions, organisational theory and decision making, managing 'borderless' careers, and personal development to enhance employability.
Through the topic of intercultural communication, students will develop an understanding of communication methodology, how to be an effective intercultural communicator, cultural communication differences, cultural identity and how it impacts on values, needs and assumptions in communication.
The Intensive Study Tour option will be supported by a pre-departure seminar and a debriefing upon return to Australia. Study tour expenses are not included in course tuition fees.
