Course aim

To further develop students' counselling and interpersonal skills to include influencing skills and intervention strategies.

Course content

Influencing skills including: feedback and self-disclosure, logical consequences, information/psycho-education, and directives; skill integration; influencing skills in different theoretical approaches; patterns of skill usage appropriate for different cultural groups and in different situations.
