This course provides students with theoretical and practical knowledge of the role and impact of culture and cultural diversity on management decision making, business strategy, and business conduct in the international business context. The course explores different dimensions of culture and how these dimensions can differentiate one culture from another. The course also considers cultural impacts in the workplace in areas such as communication, negotiation, values and ethical conduct, and provides a greater understanding of why people behave as they do and how this behaviour affects business.
