Course aim

This course provides students with an opportunity to complete the Honours Thesis in Law – a sustained research project involving the examination of a specific research question, which makes an original or innovative contribution to the existing literature. This course has also been designed to extend and further develop students’ skills and experience in legal writing.

Course content

This course will extend students’ understanding of and experience in the following areas:

  • Advanced legal research methods
  • Evaluating and analysing research data
  • Writing a dissertation
  • Communicating research methods and research outcomes, in written form
