Course aim

This course will explore the current social, political and economic contexts of early childhood services across Australia; leadership and management in children's services; collaborative leadership models to engage early childhood teams, reflection on leadership practice, and continuing professional learning.

Course content

Theories of leadership, research on leadership qualities, personal attributes of leadership, organisational climate, staff evaluation and supporting professional development, effective team building and communication, and ethical leadership.
