Develop an understanding of the theory and application of advanced spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques used to determine the structure of drugs and related compounds. To enable students to design, validate, conduct, and interpret appropriate analytical procedures for the quantitation of drugs in pharmaceutical preparations and biological systems
Examine the theory and application of nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry, and advanced chromatographic methods to both the qualitative and quantitative analysis of drugs and related compounds. Apply selected spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques to specific quantitative analyses of drugs in pharmaceutical preparations and biological systems.
