To enable students to participate as active teacher/artists, plan, implement and document an early years (Birth-8) arts curriculum project and reflect critically upon their role as arts educators.
The impact of the following factors on early childhood arts curriculum: Current views on arts education relating to the intrinsic and instrumental benefits of the arts, neuro-biology, emotion, social behaviour, cultural diversity and health and well-being; integration of arts in cross-curricular contexts; the role and function of community arts; the influence of traditional, Indigenous, contemporary and popular culture upon the arts; technology and digital arts.
