Course aim

To explore, evaluate and appreciate sources of environmental information and measurement.

Course content

Descriptive treatment of environmental measurement techniques; overview of field sampling techniques; introduction to geographical information systems; overview of relational databases and database queries; storage of environmental information; web delivery of environmental data; environmental data mining; metadata.
