To introduce students to the basic principles of geomatics, the fundamentals of survey graphics, the application of computer-aided drafting techniques and field surveys using GPS.
Introduction to geomatics. Instrumentation of geomatics. Introduction to electronic data capture. Processing of field data. Field survey using various GPS techniques.
Data analysis and interpretation. Elementary CAD principles used in geomatics. Manipulation of electronic survey data. Electronic topographic data presentation. Survey graphics.
