To support educators as researchers to investigate and critically analyse the ways in which privilege and disadvantage are continuously re-enacted and can be challenged in early childhood settings.
Understanding the social reproduction of privilege in diverse social and cultural contexts; recognising the intersections of culture, location, class and gender in the power relations of educator and care settings; ethical research and advocacy research in working with young children and their families; supporting the relationships between family life and educator activity; critical interventions in building equity in education and care settings; identifying and responding to challenges in the social relations of education and care provision.
