The aim of this course is to prepare students to apply the best available research to enhance their clinical decision-making.
The relevance of qualitative and quantitative research to practice; the meaning of evidence-based practice; identifying evidence; evidence based decision making; knowledge translation and knowledge synthesis; barriers to applying the best evidence to practice; critiquing research rating tools; evaluating research; asking answerable questions; searching databases for the best evidence; applying evidence-based decisions to practice.
