Education Leadership and Computer Technologies

Course aim

Students will develop a situated understanding of the role of information and communications technologies (ICT) in current and future schooling with a view to active leadership and engagement.

Course content

Systems approaches to school management; ICT and globalisation of education; leading technologies and their application in educational management; impacts of the Internet on schooling and schools; the four levels of technology integration, curriculum leadership, major management issues in the use of ICT in teaching and learning; social and cultural aspects of computer use; policy formulation.
