To introduce students to some of the key technical, conceptual and creative aspects of film and television production.
Students are given an overview of all stages of the production process in film and television including pre-production, production and post-production. Students develop basic knowledge and skills in camera operation, sound operation and digital editing. Students gain an understanding of crew roles and responsabilities in project management, directing and filming. Students are introduced to screen language concepts and techniques such as creative conceptualisation, spatial and temporal continuity, storytelling and dynamic imagery and editing.
