To develop educators who are familiar with, and able to demonstrate and apply the principles and practices of middle schooling for the middle years.
Understanding the nature of adolescence; the learning and social needs of the adolescent; philosophies of middle schooling; middle schooling pedagogies: relationship building, managing the learning environments, working in teams, negotiation, integration, collaborative learning, behaviour management and authentic assessment.
