To reflect on the nature and purpose of interactions in teaching and learning languages. We will explore how teachers can use interaction to facilitate learning, foster target language use, facilitate dialogue about language and learning, and in monitoring assessing language in the classroom.
Selection, design and critique of tasks; interactions to develop listening, speaking, reading and writing; interaction between language and culture; interaction between language and content; analysing and adapting resources; interactions to mediate learning; catering for learner differences; interactions in classroom oriented assessment.
