Definitions and understandings of curriculum; the ideological bases for curriculum policy and decision making; stakeholders in the curriculum; theories and practices that drive formation of curriculum; the role of assessment in shaping the curriculum; challenges for curriculum in the 21st century; curriculum in diverse social and cultural contexts; contemporary issues in curriculum both in Australia and internationally eg moves toward national and international curriculum; high stakes testing; impact of changing technologies.
