Leadership and Management in Adult, Vocational and Workplace Learning Contexts

Course aim

To identify and critically analyse the roles, responsibilities and expectations of leaders and managers in educational and workplace settings in the light of current management theory and the future nature of work and learning.

Course content

Educational leadership; administrative management; organisational development; managing and leading work teams and small organisations; managing educational programs; futures search; the role of adult education in creating shared visions for the future; mentoring staff; leadership skills; performance management.
