To provide students with an understanding of asset types and their components, the assessment of asset quality, the maintaining of asset compliance the development and maintenance of asset registers and the design and implementation of asset information systems.
Asset types, infrastructure, buildings and other assets. Elements, sub-elements and components of facilities and assets. Asset life cycles, asset assessment principles and practices as applied to non-current assets eg infrastructure and building(s), portfolio assembly, asset registers, hierarchies of assets, information management, spatial information systems, data collection, and valuation, information assessment, updating security, information technology systems for asset management. Presentation of asset information for decision making.
