To introduce students to the concepts and principles of open channel hydraulics and engineering hydrology.
This course covers two modules: Module 1- Hydraulics and Module 2- Engineering Hydrology.
Module 1 covers principles of open channel hydraulics and its applications in modelling of flow profiles of natural river system and pipe flow analyses while components of the Hydrological Cycle.
Module 2: modelling of open channel systems by using HEC-RAS and the applications of principles of Hydrology and Hydraulics to solve real life water resources and management issues are discussed.
