To further develop skills in interpreting research, develop research skills in understanding both qualitative and quantitative research, to develop skills in applying research and to further develop understanding in the ethics of undertaking research.
The role and value of knowledge creation and innovation in education; research publishing; careers involving educational research; overview of the research process; evaluating new knowledge and innovation in a field; overview of research methodologies in a field; identifying trends and changing paradigms; identifying major leaders and institutions in a field; developing and validating a research proposal, preparation of appropriate ethical procedures and writing up research outcomes.
