To provide a knowledge of analogue linear circuits and their applications to various electronic systems.
Power Supplies: rectification, filtering, regulation, stabilisation, IC regulators, diode circuits, current sources. Introduction to switch-mode power supplies. Field effect transistors: MOSFETs; CMOs, amplifiers. Feedback Amplifiers: Feedback concepts; topologies; analysis of feedback circuits; circuit applications. Introduction to oscillator circuits. Operational Amplifiers: Principles, inverting, non-inverting, frequency response, applications to electronic functions. Analysis, design and applications of power amplifiers.
