To have students apply the skills and principles gained in first year design studio to increasing levels of creative idea generation, technical resolution and historical/theoretical perspective.
The students will develop knowledge to investigate and critique the fundamental aspects of Visual Communication; idea generation, design methodology and technical ability based on design principles and ways of working; exploration and development of a range of technical skills to supplement problem-solving skills learnt in first year; integration of principles of typography with studio work.
